Nordic Lan & Wan Communication Oy was sold to Viria Oyj

Translink Corporate Finance announces the acquisition of Nordic Lan & Wan Communication Oy, the largest independent service provider of network security solutions in Finland with annual revenues of EUR 19 million, by Viria Oyj. Translink acted as the exclusive financial adviser to the owners of Nordic Lan & Wan Communication Oy.

Viria’s roots are in data communications, and previously it operated under the name Anvia Group. In an acquisition in summer 2016, Anvia’s telecom business and part of its TV and IT business were sold to Elisa Group. The fundamentally changed Anvia Group was renamed Viria and began building a new overall structure around security and network technology, TV services and information analytics solutions. The acquisition of Nordic Lan & Wan Communication means a wider range and increased geographical coverage of network security services in Finland. Nordic Lan & Wan will become a business unit under the Viria brand and the key management will join Viria and continue working for the company.

At Translink we see that the demand for IT network security services will continue to increase due to increasing IT security threats and regulatory consumer privacy legislation by the European Union. With our past transaction experience across many countries/continents we are well positioned to help expansive security solution providers to accomplish their M&A goals both on the sell- and the buy-side.
