About Oro Agri
Oro Agri is an international company headquartered in the Cayman Islands involved in the research, development and production of a unique range of patented agricultural biological products since 2002. The key product ranges include bio-stimulants, adjuvants, crop protection products, liquid foliar fertilizers and soil conditioners for large scale agriculture applications, including all row, stone fruit, pasture and other crop types, as well as smaller lawn and garden applications.
Oro Agri operates in more than 80 countries and has production facilities in Brazil, South Africa and the USA. The Oro Agri range of patented products provides solutions to address traditional crop inhibiting diseases and factors that stunt growth and reduce crop yield, as well as increasing nutrient and water use efficiency through high performance environmentally friendly products.
Omnia is recognised as an international player in the agricultural biological product and water soluble nutrient markets with a product range manufactured in South Africa and Australia, that is sold into 28 countries. Oro Agri is a high growth international agricultural biological product player. It has strong complementary attributes with Omnia which will accelerate Omnia’s growth into key agriculture markets where Oro Agri is already well established. The combined product ranges between the two companies complement one another and will provide a broader market offering of agricultural biological products into the agriculture sector. The sale and distribution of Omnia’s existing range of plant nutrients, bio-stimulant products and agricultural services is expected to increase significantly by leveraging the Oro Agri network. Omnia will eliminate the time, cost and risk to establish a similar global network as well as the extensive research and development required to formulate comparable products to the same standard as Oro Agri, and rather focus on leveraging the synergies between the two companies to maximize the sales potential in these key markets.
“We are very excited with the potential that Oro Agri’s innovative product range and channels to market offer Omnia. Our worldwide strategic initiatives will be bolstered by the strength of the combined resources,” noted Jan Vermaak, the Divisional Managing Director International Fertilizer at Omnia. “The team from Translink, led by John Blake and Michael Anderson, has helped us to evaluate, contribute and execute on our strategic growth plan. This now puts us in an excellent position to capitalize on our next stage of growth. Translink’s worldwide access to acquisition opportunities and deep understanding of our business has resulted in a great outcome for Omnia.”
