Translink advised UK based Brannan in the divestiture of its Swedish manufacturing operations to Bjades Mechanical.
The Swedish company, Rexotherm AB (changed name from Brannan AB) manufactures instruments for temperature and pressure control and also performs mechanical machining services. Main customer segments include heating- and ventilation, manufacturing, maritime and process industries. The seller was Brannan-group, controlled by Designgood Ltd, a leading European instrument company operating from factories in Cleator Moor, England and until recently Mullsjö, Sweden. The UK company acquired Swedish Rexor AB in 1990 to secure continuity of supply to its UK business.

Bjades Mechanical, had expressed a desire to acquire a company with its own products in a segment that did not compete with their contract manufacturing customers and Rexotherm’s client base proved to be very complementary to Bjades with its niche instrument products and, furthermore, additional capacity of turning and machining. Bjades is a mechanical machining and assembly group with a turnover of approximately SEK 130 million and 4 plants in South Sweden.
Translink acted as an advisor to the seller. The transaction closed in January and is now publicly announced.
